Gary Ong

Founder and CEO

“Keep calm and Gary Ong.”

I have a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley in Materials Science and Engineering. After that, I got my start at the Sputnik Accelerator, and as a fellow at the Chain Reactions Innovations program at Argonne National Laboratory. I was born in Malaysia and was first inspired to tackle climate change having seen rapid deforestation of rainforest. I like puns.

Corey Staller

Director of Engineering

“Dog is literally god spelled backwards.”

I got my PhD from the University of Texas at Austin in Chemical Engineering. After that, I was an engineer at Micron Technologies. I am a Forbes 30 under 30 honoree (energy), a hunter, a public lands advocate, and a big fan of mountains. I believe large scale decarbonization of energy doesn’t have to come at the cost of sacrificing the wilderness.

Erin Castele

Senior Engineer

“Why not?”

I graduated from Northwestern University with a Masters in Chemical Engineering. After that, I joined Celadyne for the opportunity to be a part of a founding team and help develop exciting technology. Now, I stay because I enjoy working with the people here.

Toru Hatsukade

Senior Engineer

“You do you.“

I got a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University and continued my work on energy conversion and storage technologies at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany) and Argonne National Laboratory. I joined Celadyne because I thought the technology was transformative, and I want to make it work.

Frank Correa

Research and Development Technician

“Behind a cloudy day, the sun remains.“

I held a position at Rogers Corporation as a R and D Technician (an elastomeric materials company). I am proud to join a passionate and resilient team where I am confident that together, we can implement real change in global warming for generations to come. I enjoy fishing, camping and spending time with my 2 handsome dogs Maximums and Titan..

Maya Kompella

Research and Development Technician

“Give Grace”

I got my BS from Northwestern studying Biomedical Engineering. I joined Celadyne because of the chance to work in a driven hands-on environment and get to learn new things every day. I'm excited to be on such a hardworking team striving to make the world a better place.

Hitender Singh Saini

Electrolyzer Integration Engineer

“Seek truth”

I got my BS from RMIT University, Victoria, Australia. I was previously a fuel cells systems engineer at Hyzon Motors, a PHEV systems calibration engineer at Stellantis/Fiat Chrysler. I am excited to bring my skills to Celadyne and help make the hydrogen economy a reality.

Dana Kazerooni

Senior Engineer

“In it to win it.“

I got a PhD in Chemistry from Virginia Tech in polymer chemistry with emphasis on fuel cell and water desalination materials . I joined Celadyne because I am excited to fulfill the vision of my late advisor for a decarbonized world enabled by hydrogen.

Christy Koerner

Engineer

“Leave things better than you found them.”

I got my BS from the University of Pittsburgh in Environmental Science. I am excited for the work at Celadyne, for the impact we can have in the world, and the opportunity to grow and work with amazing people along the way.

“There’s no shortage of remarkable ideas, what’s missing is the will to execute them” - Seth Godin

I've worked as an Associate at McKinsey & Co, where I participated in strategic restructuring initiatives for fintech companies, and assisted in creating cost-saving strategies. At JP Morgan Chase & Co, as a Special Situations and Distressed Credit Analyst, I conducted due diligence on corporate credits, analyzed legal aspects, and anticipated macroeconomic events. I hold an Honors Bachelor of Science in Applied Math from Illinois State University.

Elahe Bagherzadeh

Electrolyzer Cell Engineer

“Dream, think and do! Embrace the challenge!”

I earned my Doctorate from TU Bergakademie Freiberg in Germany. After that, I have embarked on a career within the automotive industry, with companies such as MAN Truck and Bus AG, Wiegel GmbH, Vitesco (Continental AG), and Siemens Energy AG. I ardently believe in our responsibility to prioritize environmental considerations and strive to leave behind a healthier planet for the next generation.

Delia Milliron

Cofounder and CSO

“Just try it and see.”

Since graduate school, I've used materials chemistry to accelerate the clean energy transition. I was a researcher at IBM and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, and now I am a professor at the University of Texas at Austin in Chemical Engineering. I personally love the outdoors and am motivated to reduce the impact of climate change on vulnerable communities worldwide.

Grace Allen

Research and Development Technician

“Live the life you always imagined”

I have a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois at Chicago. After graduating, I worked as a research associate at a small biotech startup. Now, I bring my passion for science to Celadyne. With Celadyne, I see the vision of a hydrogen powered future - and I am here to help make that vision a reality.
